ICDL Graduates 20 students from National Water and Sewerage Corporation
Standard Chartered Bank has sponsored the National Water and Sewerage Corporation Kampala in providing digital skilling to their staff through the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) program at Clarke International University. Out of 75 students, 20 have already graduated from the program. National Water and Sewerage Corporation being a client , the bank decided to pay for the first cohort to promote digital skills among its customers. This is the first time that a corporate entity has paid for another corporate entity for capacity building, as mentioned by the ICDL Uganda general manager, who thanked Standard Chartered Bank for investing in its customers and Clarke International University for providing the digital skilling training to National Water staff members. The graduation ceremony was held at the Clarke International University grounds in Bukasa Muyenga, and the Vice Chancellor encouraged the graduates to share their newly acquired skills with their colleagues and teach others. The staff members were also taken through the Clarke International University pledge, which emphasizes leadership, innovation, and transformation
